Direct File Upload and Download: FileBrowser Integration Now Live

One of your most requested features is here: seamless file management for your NonBioS sandboxes.

The Problem We're Solving

Until now, getting files in and out of your NonBioS environment was clunky. You had to either ask NonBioS to create a zip file for download or host your files on a service like GitHub to pull them in. Neither option was ideal for quick iteration or managing multiple files.

FileBrowser Integration

Starting now, all NonBioS sandboxes come with an integrated FileBrowser service. This gives you direct access to your sandbox's file system through a clean web interface where you can:

  • Upload files to any folder
  • Download files or entire directories
  • Edit files manually right in your browser

To access it, navigate to http://<your-server-ip>:8080 and log in with credentials that NonBioS can provide directly in the chat. Once your files are uploaded, just let NonBioS know and it can access them immediately.

The previous upload and download methods still work, but we expect this to become the go-to way for managing files in your private sandbox.

Availability

If you logged in this week, FileBrowser is already activated on your instance. Existing users can reach out to us on Discord and we'll migrate you to the new VMs with this feature enabled. Alternatively, you can ask NonBioS to install and configure FileBrowser on your current instance.

This should make your development workflow significantly smoother. Let us know what you think.
